The famous billionaire, Jeffrey Epstein, was charged with sex trafficking and abusing minors according to CNN. He was running a sex enterprise between 2002 and 2005 and was indicated Monday, CNN posted. It was not until Saturday that he was arrested.

He would “pay” young girls to have sex with him knowing they were around 14–15 years old. Back in 2008, Epstein pleaded guilty to two state prostitution charges in Miami, he then served 13 months, CNN wrote. Now, he can serve up to 45 years with two counts, if found guilty for those counts. Serving 13 months was clearly not enough time for Epstein because he continued to do the same thing.

With wealth comes power and with power comes greed. Many young girls get sucked into sex trafficking because they were forced to or money or they were too naive. Regardless, in Epstein’s case, the minors were abused and raped. When someone has money and power, there is not much said or done to end the horrible events.

Epstein had powerful friends like Bill Clinton and Donald Trump. Personally, I do not think it should be so easy to pay for bail. It’s so easy that any rich person abusing and raping minors will get away with it because they have good connections and wealth.

There were multiple victims and young girls around the world get trapped in sex trafficking. They lose their innocence because of someone who feels the need to use them for money. It will also be something they will live with and can mentally affect them.
