Zaid Diaz

Zaid Diaz is a rising senior from Granada Hills Charter High School. He likes to draw and read as a hobby. His favorite book is Homegoing a book that he connects to as a minority. His favorite type of journalism is politics and his second favorite is opinion pieces.. His favorite TV show of all time is How To Get Away With Murder. Zaid is a teenage activist, he is part of his neighborhood council, the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union), and The San Fernando Valley Young Democrats.He finds political power inspiring and hopes to pursue it in the future. Zaid has worked on campaigns such as the Students Not Suspects campaign which helped students in schools not be targeted for random searches based on their skin color. He is also working on advocating for more school psychologists, social workers, counselors, and nurses.
