That swelling of pride you felt at your love-labor-lost resulted in a happy place when we finally got it to work. Over time, these activities became second nature , a new language in the script formulaic form … maybe even to the VB side you went where Macro was your jam . No judgement here…rock on , you macro-making masters -and here is my point about data science and where it needs to be to become the ubiquitous business promise that those pundants keep promising in their “ML because it’s cool” or “AI because I-SAID-SO” jargon rich talking points and business prognostications . It needs to be embedded like Excel functions into every business process to where we don’t even think about it let alone try to get a degree in it (if that’s you, let’s talk) — the same stats courses that introduced to Excel will also give you the quant background to understand data science and how it can help a business — and once the data science process (xProcess) becomes Germaine and integrated into the business (yProcess), what are you left with ? ( As in algebra , so do the processes cancel each other out divisionally and you are left with ->Data and Business ) — this is where commodized meets democratized in a world so hungry to let machine learn without knowing what to teach them. Yes , Virginia, there is a Santa Claus …
