How to nominate validators:

Step 1: Make sure you are on the right network

In the left corner at the top, you can change networks and host

Step 2 (OPTIONAL): Create an additional wallet which will serve you as your “Controller” account and send some $DOT to the account for the fees occurring

In Polkadot, you need to understand the difference between “Controller” account and “Stash” account.

  • Stash account is where you funds will be stored and controlled. You require to back up your seed phrase in order to be always in control of funds.
  • Controller account controls any nominating and validating actions.

Step 3: In header navigate to “Network” , “Staking” and choose “Account actions”

In header navigate to “Network” and choose “Staking”
Choose “Account actions”

Step 4: You are now ready to nominate by clicking “Nominator” and proceed to pop-up transaction form.

To nominate by click “Nominator”
Choose the controller account we set up in Step 2 and the amount of your choosing then click “next”
Search for validator in search box and find “Anonstake” then by clicking on it, you will move it to the “nominated accounts” section on the right then click “Bond & Nominate”

Step 5: Authorise the bond transaction in polkadot.org/apps and confirm the transaction in polkadot.js extension
