White Women Need To Accept Responsibility
For their own goddamned fucking actions
I am tired of being told I need to be careful about white women’s tears. Especially because often times those tears come at my expense, which often ends up with people like myself, being raped, abused, and murdered.
Often.
White women voted for Trump en masse, and while it’s true the Latino population also voted for Trump, it’s clear that he would not have won without the support of American white women, who decided come Hell or high water, white supremacy was the way to go.
Now people are out on these very streets blaming Alice Wong and Imani Barbarin, because they refused to vote for a genocidal maniac who was perfectly comfortable sending weapons of mass destruction to the most marginalized corners of the planet.
Hmm yeah, sure, we could blame not one but two different disabled women of color, or we could admit that the world of whiteness, although small, is mighty.
I understand that it is uncomfortable to look at your privilege and realize how lazy, selfish, and self-indulgent you have become because I have to think about this every single day.
I don’t have extra help, I don’t have extra dollars, if something happens to me — like say a broken ankle — then yes, I am buying toilet paper from the corner store a dollar at a time in hopes I make it through the week.
If something happens to me, such as a broken limb, or an inability to otherwise function the way I did before, I am screwed, because I don’t have a single person able to pick up the slack.
Oh sure, I have friends who will help for awhile, but eventually like Tinu, I will be a long-forgotten hashtag that only my closest and dearest online friends will even dare to remember.
Because remembering folks who have passed on, because of their struggles, because doctors and nurses didn’t wear a mask, because they didn’t get the help they needed, for a thousand other reasons, is fucking difficult, and it’s uncomfortable.
This is why we get so comfortable with shit like Zionism and white supremacy shit like Nazism. They promise us the world, “We’ll give you the most beautiful of everything, all it requires is your literal soul.”
There are proud happy Zionists out there, making videos about how when they were in the IOF they raped people and got away with it, and they laugh about it.
But we aren’t here to talk about Israel and Palestine, we’re here to talk about the fact that Israel went to war with Palestine, causing one of the greatest genocides since the Nazis assumed power, with the full and willing participation of every single person who voted for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.
I’m not saying that Trump is a better solution, because -waves my fucking hands- look at what he’s already done, but what I am saying is that Kamala Harris was never a serious option.
The Democrats didn’t want her in power, the Republicans didn’t want her in power, and the fucking American people didn’t want her in power, for a variety of reasons, but at the end of the day there were only two reasons that mattered…she’s a woman and she isn’t white.
A self-identifying, powerful, vocal, woman, who made it very clear she was going to stand with people like Israel, which was a greater threat to American democracy than even Donald Trump.
So we’ve been told. Either way you spin it, American politics are complicated and messy, and no matter who wins, a lot of innocent people die.
That’s the way it works with America. No matter who wins, by the time they are done with their four or eight years, there will be blood on their fucking hands.
And you people are responsible for that. You white people, who continue to vote against your best interests, against the best interests of your children, and even worse, against the better interests of your entire fucking community.
We as a society keep voting in the most bloodthirsty among us, and when I say “We as a society,” what I mean is the white people who control 7% of the population but somehow manage to co-opt 90% of the fucking vote.
I know those God damned numbers don’t make sense, but neither do Americans. I remember distinctly, the night before George Bush the second won his second term in office.
I was in an AOL chatroom that night with thousands of people from America, in the “Texas” chatroom because that was where I met my then-best friend “Kristy.”
Kristy taught me a lot about policies and politics in America, and how certain states vote versus how others vote.
I remember that night every single one of those people said they weren’t going to vote for Bush.
Texas voted for Bush in overwhelming numbers that year, and when I went into the chat that night to ask what happened, literally no one wanted to talk about it. But we did, and many of them admitted it. After promising they wouldn’t…
Most of them had voted for Bush.
I’m starting to see a pattern. Y’all talk a big game, but you don’t mean what you say, you don’t know how to put conviction behind what you say you are going to do, so you are incredibly comfortable — especially as audacious Americans — saying one thing, and doing another. IE John Fetterman and AOC.
Americans are super comfortable being comfortable, and I think that’s why so many of them think it’s cute to cosplay as Black, Brown, or Indigenous. I think they think that our skin is a costume, instead of the fucking battle armor that God gave us to prevent us from being just like them.
Selfish, cruel, mean, and God damned in fucking sufferable.
And no, I cannot believe I have to say this, but it isn’t all white people. It’s just every white person who supports white supremacy, and every one of their Black, Brown, and Indigenous friends who don’t call them out on it.
Sending all my love,
