In April 2020, I embarked on my MuleSoft journey with MetaCube. Initially, I worked on Mule 3 projects and after a few months, I was also assigned to work on Mule 4 projects. Concurrently working on both versions of Mule provided me with valuable insights into the distinctions between them. I continued my tenure at MetaCube for two years.

Subsequently, I joined Billennium and it proved to be a wonderful start. Having the opportunity to work alongside such talented Muleys as Sravan Lingam, Manish Yadav, Piyush Sharma, Parth Rawat, and Pratik Priyadarshi and other fellow colleagues gave me both the confidence and the motivation to work harder and strive for excellence.

I am so thankful for the amazing leadership of Adrian, Piotr, and Divyesh at Billennium and their ability to empower our employees is truly exceptional I feel privileged to be a part of such a dynamic and forward-thinking team. I believe that my continued success is a direct result of their strong leadership skills.

Over the course of 8 months, I devoted myself to acquiring knowledge of MuleSoft, Cloud Computing, Salesforce, and Automation, and as a result, I was able to complete several certifications to demonstrate my expertise. These certifications include (Listed Below). Through studying for and obtaining these certifications, I gained a deep understanding of the complexities and challenges, as well as the best practices and strategies for success. I am proud of the hard work and dedication that I put into acquiring this knowledge, and I look forward to applying it in my work and continuing to grow and develop my skills.

Before Joining Billennium, I wasn’t very active on LinkedIn and wasn’t fully aware of the MuleSoft Community. However, as I became more involved with the community, I quickly realized the incredible value of the MuleSoft Community and the wealth of knowledge and resources it offered.

Through networking and engaging with other professionals in the field, I was able to learn new skills, stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends, and make valuable connections that have helped me grow both personally and professionally.

Looking back, I realize that not being active on LinkedIn and in the MuleSoft Community was a missed opportunity, but I am now committed to being an active participant and contributing member of this vibrant and supportive community.

MuleSoft Mentor Journey

In April 2022, I was appointed as a MuleSoft Mentor. While being a MuleSoft Mentor has its perks, it also entails a set of responsibilities that must be fulfilled.

Perks:- As a MuleSoft Mentor, I am entitled to various benefits such as recognition for my expertise, opportunities for career growth, and access to a private MuleSoft Community Slack workspace. Additionally, I receive exclusive Mentor swag and coaching from Ambassadors to enhance my skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities:- As a MuleSoft Mentor, I have certain responsibilities that I must fulfill. These include mentoring other Muleys, sharing my knowledge and expertise with the MuleSoft Community by contributing to meetups, writing blogs, and other activities. I also need to constantly engage in self-learning and challenge myself to stay up-to-date with the latest developments and advancements in the field of MuleSoft.

My MuleSoft Mentor journey has been an incredibly rewarding experience, as I have had the privilege of learning from some of the brightest minds in the industry and receiving guidance from experienced professionals who are passionate about sharing their knowledge.

Since becoming a MuleSoft Mentor, I have been compelled to step outside my comfort zone. My role as a mentor has given me the courage to start speaking at MuleSoft Meetups, writing blogs, and expressing my ideas more confidently. The overwhelmingly positive feedback I have received from the MuleSoft Community and from attendees at these events has been inspiring, and it has encouraged me to continue sharing my knowledge with others.

What Made me unique from other MuleSoft Mentors

Being a MuleSoft Mentor is undoubtedly a significant accomplishment, but to make a real impact and stand out from the crowd, one must be unique. For me, my unique contribution has been my Integration & Certification Roadmap blogs on Medium and the Meetups that I organize. I pride myself on thinking outside of the box and attempting to integrate with systems that no one has attempted before.

I also strive to identify new platforms or systems that have recently released their APIs or some new features. In our Meetups, we make a conscious effort to host events with unique topics and invite not only renowned speakers but also give opportunities to new and upcoming speakers. We listen carefully to all the feedback shared by our audience and strive to implement those changes to continuously improve the quality of our events. Our team is constantly improving, and we take pride in the fact that we are always striving to make our events better with each passing day.

MuleSoft Meetup Leader Journey

In August 2022, I was appointed as the MuleSoft Meetup Leader for the Mysore Group, with Giridhar Meka as my co-leader. Since then, we have worked tirelessly to organize high-quality meetups, inviting new and upcoming speakers, as well as some renowned international speakers such as Gaurav Kheterpal, Joey Chan, and Abhishek Bathwal. As MuleSoft Meetup Leaders, we are responsible for creating the event, inviting speakers, managing the YouTube channel, creating quizzes for the event, managing the SlideShare for PPT, and spreading the word about the event. We take pride in our work and ensure that every aspect of the event is carefully planned and executed to provide the best possible experience to our attendees.

Our dedication and hard work paid off when we were honored with the MuleSoft Community Award for the Most Active MuleSoft Meetup Group in India in 2023. This recognition reaffirmed our commitment to delivering quality content to the MuleSoft Community and motivated us to continue organizing exciting events in the future.

About the MuleSoft Ambassador Program

MuleSoft Ambassadors are individuals who have made significant contributions to the MuleSoft Community through their expertise in developing integration solutions with MuleSoft’s Anypoint Platform, as well as their commitment to helping others succeed. As experienced MuleSoft developers or architects, they serve as role models for MuleSoft Mentors and Meetup Leaders.

Ambassadors often participate in various events, contribute to open-source projects, and provide guidance and support to other MuleSoft developers. The program provides them with unique opportunities to share their knowledge and collaborate with fellow ambassadors while gaining exposure to industry events and conferences.

Being a MuleSoft Ambassador is a great achievement that offers individuals a platform to showcase their expertise, network with other MuleSoft developers, and gain access to exclusive resources and training.

To become a MuleSoft Ambassador, it is crucial to document your work and share it with the MuleSoft community. You can achieve this by publishing blog posts, contributing to the MuleSoft forum, attending MuleSoft events, and sharing your knowledge with others. By doing so, you can gain recognition for your efforts and contribute to the MuleSoft Community’s growth and success.

To become a MuleSoft Ambassador, it is mandatory to have completed the Ambassador Coaching Program and meet certain criteria. These include consistently meeting or exceeding two contributions per quarter as a MuleSoft Mentor, contributing both externally and internally, holding current certifications if Devs/Architects/Admins, following social guidelines and community engagement rules, contributing in multiple ways and ensuring every contribution is of high quality, having excellent communication skills and being reliable, having a genuine interest in the program and not just incentives, and receiving excellent peer feedback without campaigning for it. By fulfilling these requirements, you can become a certified MuleSoft Ambassador and continue to contribute to the MuleSoft community.

My Experience with MuleSoft Ambassador program

Upon discovering the MuleSoft Ambassador program, I knew I had to apply. This program is tailored for individuals with a passion for MuleSoft’s technology and a desire to impart their knowledge and experience to others. As someone who has always enjoyed sharing my expertise with others, this program was a perfect fit for me.

I was fortunate enough to be assigned Jim Andrews as my coach for the MuleSoft Ambassador Coaching program. It was a great privilege to be mentored by one of the most knowledgeable and experienced MuleSoft Ambassador. Over the next six months, I had several calls with Jim, where he shared his expertise in improving my skills such as writing blogs, creating my image in the community, and perfecting my profile, among others.

After the coaching, I underwent a review process where I was evaluated by MuleSoft on my contributions. I shared what makes me unique, what I will do as an Ambassador.

After submitting my application, I received an email after a few weeks, informing me that I had been accepted into the program. It was an incredible feeling of accomplishment, and I was thrilled to join the program and begin sharing my knowledge and experience with others as an official MuleSoft Ambassador!

I became MuleSoft Ambassador officially on 14th March 2023
