We recently uploaded a new episode on “Design Workspace, Energy & Income”- discussing a few important areas that indirectly influence your creative abilities.

Nutrition, Exercise & Sleep are the most primary yet underrated essentials of a good life. Focussing on these three components would eventually lead to better work. Especially today, as we all work remotely on our desks by ourselves, it’s extremely significant that we discipline ourselves and invest in building the right habits that help us increase our productivity.

When we talk about sleep, most people consider the quantity of sleep we get each night, without paying enough attention to the quality of sleep. We forget to realise how investing in simple things like mattresses & pillows can go a really long way for us! Even if a mattress sounds a bit too much, invest in a better pillow — it’s a small step towards a much bigger objective.

We must, by all means, invest in things that allow us to have comfortable sleep… after all, a huge part of our lives is spent sleeping! Not only that, when we do not get a good night’s sleep, it clearly shows in our work. Our work reflects the internal state of our energy. Sleep well so you can work even better. Bonne nuit!

The above article is inspired from Ansh Mehra’s ‘Foundations for UX Design Series’ on YouTube. He has compiled some of the most key lessons he’s learnt so far as a self-taught UX Designer, hoping it will help every designer who begins after him.

Apart from YouTube, he discusses Design, Life and the Beyond on his Podcast called Take it Easy on Spotify. You can check out his work on www.anshmehra.com.
