This year Dyson has dropped a new gem for us.
On 8th of April Dyson announced a CleanTrace — an attachment for your vacuum cleaner that incorporates augmented reality into your routine cleaning, helping you cover all the tricky spots by June 2024.
This solution to cleaning was inspired by Dyson robot vacuums.

Essentially, you are now equipped with robotic awareness and a entertaining way of keeping your progress.
This is bad news for those who like to slack while cleaning, because now you will have a vivid visual way to monitor your progress.
Even though this add on is only 20 dollars, it currently supports a low range of products. The Gen5Detect, for which this attachment is designed, does have a 4.5+ star rating on most retail platforms, but also starts at 800 euros for a simple model, which can put a strain on your budget.
Although the costs are high, integrating AR into everyday tasks and home life represents a significant breakthrough. While many of us recognize AR for entertainment purposes, its potential extends far beyond that, offering a multitude of practical applications.
If this innovation follows the typical lifecycle of technological advancements, we can expect to see this feature become available on more affordable models and brands in the near future.
