Art has always been a window into the human soul, a canvas for expression and imagination. But what if that window could open into another dimension, where art comes to life and dances before your eyes? This was precisely the experience offered by the recent exhibit at Uptown Bonifacio Mall, where NFT Philippines and the visionary artists of CryptoartPH brought us an extraordinary journey through the world of Augmented Reality (AR) using the Artivive app.

From August 26 to August 31, 20223, this immersive exhibition took visitors on a mind-bending adventure, blurring the lines between the physical and digital realms. It was an artistic voyage that showcased the incredible talent of these Filipino artists and pushed the boundaries of what art can be in the age of technology.

Even postcards and artwork at the merch table have AR!

Walking into the exhibit space, it was clear that this was different from your typical art gallery experience. The walls were adorned with traditional canvases, each piece having an augmented reality. With smartphones, visitors scanned these artworks and instantly saw the magic in each one.

This exhibit challenged the notion that art is a passive experience. It invited visitors to actively engage with each piece, to become a part of the artwork itself. It was no longer about simply observing; it was about interacting, about witnessing the wonders of technology enhancing the beauty of art.

The artist lineup from CryptoartPH that was exhibited includes works of Alchemyst, Allen Villaflor, El Bonuan, Francis Lim, Hero Granada, Jopet Arias, Lucius Felimus, and Sevi Agregado.

For those familiar with NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens), this exhibit was a testament to the limitless possibilities of the digital art world. Each AR-activated piece was tied to an NFT, ensuring its authenticity and ownership in the blockchain. It was a glimpse into the future of art ownership and appreciation.

As the exhibit concluded on August 31, visitors left with a profound sense of wonder. They had witnessed the birth of a new era in art, one where the boundaries of reality are expanded, and creativity knows no bounds.

The collaboration between NFT Philippines, CryptoartPH, and Artivive gave birth to an experience that challenged our perceptions and redefined what art could be. It was a reminder that, in the hands of visionary artists and innovative technology, the possibilities are endless.

So, the next time you step into an art gallery, be prepared to do more than just admire. Be prepared to immerse yourself in a world where art comes alive, dances before your eyes, and takes you on a journey you won’t soon forget. Welcome to the future of art.
