Second Session of “Introduction to space and observation of celestial bodies ”

Continuing our journey of educating and spreading happiness

On the 5th of September,2022, Antariksh Ki Khoj undertook an event in collaboration with Manas Education and Interglobe aviation limited.

The crowd consisted of class 5 students some of whom had an education gap. The crowd was very much engaged in learning which made the session fun. The kids seemed to grasp a lot from the program which may help them in their future endeavors.

The session started with an engaging presentation in which kids were taught about the solar system and other space phenomena. It also included fun video songs which made them more interested in the proceedings. We observed Moon in detail, kids were able to identify the craters and seas of the moon about which they had recently learnt. This was followed by the observation of Saturn(and its moon Titan) and Jupiter with the Galilean Moons(Lo, Callisto, Ganymede, and Europa). The children were also shown the summer triangle and were given details about the star Vega.

To encourage their interest in space, the kids were given books about the solar system from which they can cherish their interest in space.

Today was a great experience and gave me the joy of spreading knowledge. It taught me how to deal with young children and encourage them to learn more.
