Anthem Foundation Collaborates with National Council on Aging to Bring Aging Mastery® to Thousands of Older Adults

We are focused on improving the health and well-being of people in the communities that we serve, and that’s why we are proud to provide the National Council on Aging with a 2-year, $4 million grant that will support older adults to participate in the Aging Mastery program at no cost.
The NCOA is an organization committed to being the national voice for every person’s right to age with their best possible health and economic security. Through their Aging Mastery program, people turning 65 and older can enroll in the class that will help them to make small changes to their lives that can have a lasting effect on their long-term health and economic security. The program provides the knowledge, motivation, and inspiration to make positive choices.
The Aging Mastery class can be experienced in a classroom setting or with a self-directed Aging Mastery Starter Kit delivered right to their door. NCOA has built a network of community-based organizations that offer the classes in more than 200 locations around the country. The class has graduated over 11,000 older adults in making small changes in their life that have ultimately produced big results.
Building a better future for all Americans, of all ages, is part of our commitment to building better health care. Our partnership with the NOCA and supporting the Aging Mastery program is just another great example of the innovative programs we continue to support.
