Romantic

A poem of dreamtime flying, corresponding to the oral cues and illustration of Ann B., 4th grade, Poets-in-the-Schools.

Ann at her window wishes upon a star.
Then, presto-change-o, she becomes a star.

⠀⠀⠀⠀She sees her friend Pete and shoots over there.
⠀⠀⠀⠀They don’t need to compete, this dazzling pair.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Starry-eyed, they dance: spin, sparkle, and fizz.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀If this isn’t romance, please tell me what is.
