Easiest ever contact form

Setting up a web page is often pretty straightforward. That is, until you have one or two little pieces of functionality that make everything take 5 times as long. For me, that something is usually a contact form.

Well, let’s make it easy.

The simplest way to add a contact form to your page is to just use a ready-made web component that is designed for taking contact information on your site. You can get such a component at https://component.io.

It looks like this:

<component contact></component>

That’s it. Just put the Component IO script at the bottom of your page, and the component expands to look like the following:

Ready-made contact form

This is a fully functional, ready-to-go contact form that even does client-side validation (enforces that there actually is a message). When someone submits a message, it is automatically relayed on to whatever email address you used to sign into Component IO.

If this is what the doctor ordered for you, check out https://component.io and create a free account or bookmark it. Then get on with your day!
