As a 51-year-old, I am wondering this as I write my very first lines here on Medium.

Not sure if there is such a “50’s year-old crisis”, certainly I am going through what appears to be one right now, and there is a reason behind it I would say…

A few months ago I was laid off by my employer. Yes, I am one of those who opposed the mandatory medical procedure for personal and health reasons.

My reasons weren’t enough for my employer and soon after I was shown the exit door.

You may agree with the measure or not, but the reality is that these measures caused or are causing lots of shockwaves across Canada and I would think in other parts of the world where mandates such as this were imposed.

And, not only did I lose my job, I moved back to the country that saw me born and spent most of my youth years in, Mexico. Why did I do it? That’s a topic for another post.

Your life can change in a blink of an eye, I have no doubt about it. You once are a successful employee, in my case a Technology…
