Why I Often Brain Dump When I Wake Up

There’s something so freeing about brain dumping upon waking.🧠
It’s like checking off everything on the to-do list and crumpling it up.
The satisfaction is unique and therapeutic.😌
A few days back, I participated in something called the #5amwritersclub.
After tossing and turning, I headed outside at 5am to chill with the moon.
I was bombarded with thoughts itching to get out.
So I typed.
A lot.
Just freewriting, free flowing,
Digital journaling.✍️
In about 25 minutes, I captured 1400 words.
And in as little as 1400 words, I felt so friken good.
A “writer’s high” so to speak.
Recharged🔋
Refreshed
Most profoundly, clear-headed.
Absolutely nothing in the noggin.
Not.a.thing.🌵
Wow, it’s this easy? I thought, dumbfounded.
I’ve tried so many methods to capture exactly what I had in that moment.
