What is Ape Now?
Ape Now is a decentralized exchange with on-chain leverage and no margin calls.
Hold trades longer and don’t get rekt by volatility.
Trading is live on Arbitrum, Base, Polygon, and Ethereum and for whitelisted tokens.
How does it work?
Ape Now is powered by Teller Peer-to-Peer loans and Aave flash loans.
Whenever you enter a trade, this is what’s happening behind the scenes:
- User longs wBTC with $100 at 12.65x leverage on Ape Now
- An aave flash loan is initiated to borrow .028 wbTC ($1,268)
- That wBTC is used as collateral on Teller to get a $1,165 USDC loan (92% LTV)
- The USDC loan + the user’s $100 is used to pay back the wBTC Aave flash loan
To close the trade, the process is reversed.
A Winning trade means the user gets back their initial buy + the difference
A Losing trade means that the user pays the difference out of their initial $100 buy
Can you get rekt?
Because Teller loans don’t use oracles, Ape Now positions aren’t liquidated with price swings.
ETH could mega-wick down to $500 and you’d still be safu. — Zerp risk of a margin call.
But there’s a catch.
Leveraged trades on Ape Now use fixed-duration loans (1 hour to 30 days — depending on the liquidity available)
As long as a trade is closed (or extended) before the loan runs out, it can’t get liquidated.

Is Ape Now a futures exchange?
No. Currently, Ape Now only offers Spot Trading.
Perpetual Futures Exchanges require funding rates and off-chain order books.
To keep fees at a minimum, there are no funding rates or liquidation penalties.
