TL;DR Decide the format for the AGW Invitational by voting today!
Greetings doods! The AGW Leaderboard has come to a conclusion and we’re getting ready for the next big step in the Apeiron Guild Wars 2024 — the online Invitational! We’ve been mulling over exactly how we want to format it but as this is a major community event — and following some community feedback — we decided to get everyone involved: so we’re putting the final Invitational format to the vote!
Below, we’ve got two options for how the Invitational will be scheduled. Have a read through them and tell us what you think, and then vote here: https://dyno.gg/form/c570a13d. You need to be Chat Level 3 on our Discord in order to vote. Voting will continue from now until July 5th 10:00am UTC.

AGW Invitational Option 1 — The TournaLeague
Option 1 would be structured like a tournament stretching out over the course of July and August with 1 matchday per region per week — so sort of like a league. Because it’s like a mashup of tournament and league, we’re calling this the TournaLeague!
The TournaLeague would consist of the 16 top guilds per region. Matchdays would be on Friday nights (9pm HKT) for SEA and Sunday nights for NA (10pm EST) with four Best of 5 matches per day . The TournaLeague would be a double elimination format. The first match would be on July 12 for SEA and July 15 for NA. The top 4 seeded teams will get a round 1 bye, while the lowest 4 seeded teams will start in the losers bracket.
The rewards for the event are the same as previously announced, which you may find below:
13–16th places in the tournament will receive Golden Apostle tickets.
AGW Invitational Option 2 — Tourney + League
Option 2 would split the Invitational into two parts. First, there would be a small tournament with the top 16 guilds from each region. The Invitational Tournament would be streamed from July 12–14 for SEA and July 19–21 for NA in a double elimination format. Note that the first round of matches for the tournament would be played off-stream two days prior to the stream. All guild participants will get 1 Golden Apostle Ticket, with a maximum of 3 Golden Apostle Tickets per guild.
The tournament would eliminate 4 guilds, leaving only 12 guilds to enter the Invitational League. The top 2 teams of the tournament (from each region) guarantee themselves a slot in the live event AGW Grand Finals to be hosted later this year.
Following the conclusion of the tournament, the Invitational League would begin. The Invitational League would run for 3 days a week, every week, alternating between SEA and NA regions, with each guild sending 1 representative per day to participate in a single Best of 1 match. The Invitational League would kick off on July 23rd for SEA and July 30th for NA.
The League table would decide the final spread of rewards. Match winners would receive +1 points for winning, match losers receive 0 points. Final point amounts would determine the standings in the table, with tiebreakers decided with tiebreaker matches.

In terms of rewards, the only major difference between Option 1 and Option 2 is that the Grand Finals slot is unique to the tournament in Option 2 — not the League.
