Apeiron Updates: Dev Report June 2024
Hello doods! It’s that time of the month again: let’s go through the dev report of June! This month we’ve been doing a lot to prepare for the Apeiron Guild Wars (AGW) online Invitational Tournament and the upcoming S3 release. Let’s check it out!
Before that, a quick announcement about the 1st Summer Sprint Leaderboard:
Right after the end of the AGW Leaderboard, the 1st Summer Sprint Leaderboard has come! It started on July 2, and will end on July 20. Even though the $ANIMA boost is no longer live, you can still earn your battle-vested + NFT $ANIMA per-win. Also, gain extra rewards by climbing the leaderboard!
Here are the rewards:
End Top 5 — Golden Apostle Ticket NFTs x2 + 5000 ANIMUS
End Top 20 — Apostle Ticket NFTs x2 + 3500 ANIMUS
End Top 50 — Apostle Ticket NFT x1 + 2000 ANIMUS
End Top 250–750 ANIMUS
End Top 500–250 ANIMUS
End above Diamond Tier — Enter Raffle for Fully Bred Quad Planet NFTs x5
End above Platinum Tier — Enter Raffle for Apostle Ticket NFTs x100
For asset holders, you’ll receive bonus rewards if you reach a certain rank:
Primeval role + End Top 100 — S2.R Golden Apostle Ticket NFT x1
Godling role + End above Platinum Tier — Enter Raffle for Golden Apostle Ticket NFTs x50
For all Primeval asset holders, you will get double the ANIMUS rewards.

AGW Invitational Format Vote Result
A few days ago we let you doods vote on the format for the AGW Invitational. The results are in! And the winner is…
Option 2: Tourney + League.
Here’s the quick details on what’s happening next:
- A tournament will be held among the top 16 guilds per region from the AGW Leaderboard
- July 10–14 for SEA and July 17–21 for NA. First two rounds will be offstream.
- Double elimination format, bottom 4 guilds start in loser’s bracket, top 4 start in winner’s bracket
- Best of 5 Matches
- 4 guilds per region will be eliminated
- The top 2 guilds per region will be invited to the Grand Finals live event.

Our overseers will be reaching out to guild leaders soon with more detailed instructions.
- After the tournament, the remaining 12 guilds will proceed to compete in a league for the rewards.
- League starts July 23rd for SEA and July 30th for NA
- In the league, each guild will send a representative to fight against other representatives for each match.
- 3 league match days per week, alternating between SEA and NA regions.

Apeiron Player Survey
Are you enjoying Apeiron? Great! Which part do you like the most and, what are some improvements you want to see? The community team is now conducting a player survey to collect opinions from all of you. We believe that the community is our most important asset, and we rely on your support, so taking the time to fill it out would be wonderful for us.
If you haven’t yet, fill out the survey here. Complete it by July 7th for 1000 Stardust and a chance at a Golden Apostle Ticket! Our community team will listen carefully, just like gods listening to the prayers of doods. The survey will continue until next Tuesday, so take your time and let your thoughts form into prayer bubbles.

Refining the Dungeon
This month we’ve already talked about the coming new PvE dungeon release, and our game design team is further refining the game mechanics. After ensuring the Cradle chef’s hot pot is working properly (so that he won’t be any more grumpy), the game design team will move on to develop the dungeon escape system and team Apostle replacement system in the coming month.
The dungeon escape system will enable you to exit the dungeon in the middle of a run without losing all of your rewards, even though some of the special rewards will still be lost. If you have encountered obstacles and have to retreat and prepare better, try using this function.
As for the team Apostle replacement system, it will allow you to replace members of your team Apostles, but with the cost of resetting the skill levels or experience of the replaced Apostle gained in the run. If your Apostle unfortunately died in the last battle and you’re facing some stronger enemies requiring a full healthy team, try out this feature!
Fine-Tuning Avatars
Preparing for the coming S3 beta release, our game team is testing and refining details, including PvE dungeon rewards, fixing the new replay mode, revising Avatar Boons design, and most anticipated of all — testing Fury skills!
Right now, only the Wisdom Avatars are available in our current release of the game, and other classes are automatically converted to Wisdom Avatars when playing in the game. However, we’re now polishing the Fury Avatars. Get ready to wield a gigantic sword and charge into the heat of battle!

What’s Lore?
Have you ever wondered why the Cradle chef is always grumpy? Why are there bosses in the dungeon? Why are there doods, and why do you have to fight? Who am I, where am I, why are we here just to…Oops sorry, went too far into the abyss of existential crisis. But if you’re curious about these questions, you might find some of the answers in the storyline of our next release!
The storyline and mission system is now getting integrated into our coming S3 release, which is our first time having a complete storyline in the game! Just make sure you keep challenging the dungeon bosses, and you’ll unlock more story chapters.
New Season, New Skin!
For those who are playing our PvP battle demo, you might remember the tiny little soul-like character you’re controlling when in the Cradle. We call it the Spirit Core. For now, everyone is sharing the same Spirit Core design, but thanks to our artists, they have designed more than 10 new skins for our Spirit Core in preparation for the S3 release! Hopefully with their stylish appearance, they can better represent your unique soul.
