Well hello there doods, it’s time for the May Dev Report! Find out about the latest stuff in the pipeline here, now!

Community

Apeiron Partnerships & Giveaways

In the past month, Apeiron has been partnering up with other Web3 projects as we look to grow the metaverse. Just in the past few weeks we’ve announced collabs with Fight League, Tribally, Ragnarok Monster World, Puffverse, Balance, Love AI, and Kaidro. Our Kaidro announcement came with a Spirit Guardian NFT giveaway that was cleaned out in under 2 hours. Wild!

We’ll be continuing to pursue beneficial partnerships, so be on the lookout for ’em. In fact, next up on June 7th, we have the Dood x Poring Fan Art Contest. More information will become available on June 7th at 7am UTC.

New Discord Guild War Channel

For the AGW, you need to be a part of a guild to be able to grab the rewards. We understand some players might not have found a guild yet. So to help out, we’ve set up a special Guild War channel on our Discord.

You doods can now easily browse all the guilds available and sign yourselves up so you can be a part of their amazing community while also becoming eligible for our AGW rewards!

New Community PvP Guide

The Apeiron DADis haven’t only been helping out in the community, they’ve also been putting together a new PvP guide! A great resource for newcomers 😀

Apeiron Winners in May ⭐

There are two main event winners to announce from last month: the Adeptus Content Creator Contest and the Zenith Invitational winners.

For the Adeptus Content Creators, we asked y’all to show some support for our awesome content creators by retweeting them. For those that have participated, we promised a thank you reward of 75 ANIMUS. Shoutout to yoangi, Rojan and 1ogic for having the 3 highest participation rates during this event!

As for the Zenith invitational Tournament, congratulations to the participants and winners! This was a very competitive event with some top players. The following rewards will be sent out soon:

1st — 1x Mythic Core, 1x Golden Apostle Ticket

2nd — 1x Elemental Core, 1x Golden Apostle Ticket

Dev

New Modes, New Expeditions

Our developers have been playtesting and adding several new features to the PvP, including a replay mode and spectator mode. Soon you’ll be able to not only re-watch your own gameplay, but check out others’ too. As the old saying goes, know yourself and know your enemies.

On top of that, we’ve been doing some revision of PvP perks and getting the Fury skills implemented. Excited to play a new Avatar class? We hope so!

Besides that, our web3 team has launched the Holy Reliquary Expedition, with special Relic NFTs that impact Planet breeding. Additionally, win-to-earn $ANIMA launched! This was a big moment for Apeiron, as we’ve now got $APRS and $ANIMA — our two core tokens — out there. Users can claim $ANIMA rewards on the Marketplace here.

PvE Dungeon Ranking System

Speaking of new modes, work on the return of PvE continues apace. Our game design team is diligently constructing the new PvE dungeon before its expected release later this summer. In this month, they’ve added three dungeon difficulty modes, including easy, normal, and hard modes. They’re also working on a new dungeon ranking system for dungeon delvers to challenge themselves to achieve higher scores.

They’ve also added several scoring factors to the game, including run completion time, number of elite rooms cleared, number of challenges completed, Unpurified Gold amount, Artifact level, Avatar level, Apostle death count, number of potions obtained, Hot Pot use count, stash slot use count, and Cradle return count. The better you perform, the higher score you’d get in the run! We hope that this would alleviate the player’s pressure of speedrunning the dungeon, and instead allow y’all to enjoy every aspect of the game. There’s lots of ways to increase your score!

In the coming month, the programmers will continue to modify the difficulty modes and rewards so as to ensure optimum game balance before releasing the PvE game mode. Let’s root for them!

PvE New Mini Boss Debut

Aside from the new ranking system, we’re welcoming some new enemies into our PvE dungeon — mini bosses! The artists have been busy designing these bad lil’ boods and placing them in our new dungeon. When the Foonie writers interviewed the design artist, she mentioned that she worked hard to design some cool, badass, dark characters. How do you think they look?

Merch!

Another thing that our artists were working on this month is new Apeiron merch! Our current Apeiron merch includes t-shirts, plushies, badges, and more. It’s all been very popular, so the artists have put together some more designs.

Currently, we are still discussing which of the above we should move forward into full production with, so don’t be shy to let us know your thoughts on them! If there is any merch that you especially love, tell us on our Discord so that we know they’ve won our doody hearts, and Lady Cosmos will magically create them into existence.
