Continuing our series on token and node stats, our developer Jude has took it upon himself to crawl the NEO blockchain for CPX holding wallets. Getting exact numbers for each wallet means that we are able to provide more comprehensive stats than through using a block explorer / rich list alone, and this allows us to see wider trends than simple “number of nodes in a tier”. All token and node numbers have been compared to the previous stats from May 4th, March 4th and January 8th 2019.

Token Distribution — Total tokens and % vs total supply for June, May, March and January 2019

The amount of Supernode qualifying wallets remains stable overall (-2) though the total CPX holdings by all Supernode qualifying wallets has only dropped by 2M worth of CPX — thereby nullifying 50% of the decrease in the number of wallets. The number of Tier Genesis qualifying wallets also remains stable and endured a small drop (-2); more interestingly, when we look at the total amount of CPX that is possessed by these wallets, we measure an increase of 4.6M CPX — which represents a clear win in our books.

The number of Tier 1 (+5) and Tier 2 (+10) qualifying wallets have both grown, as well as their total holdings in CPX. The number of DCN qualifying wallets (-31) dropped more significantly the past month.

If we compare the total CPX holdings of all node qualifying wallets (DCN till Supernode), then we see a global accumulation of 1.8M CPX.

We can also note that 2.6M less CPX are currently stored in exchanges than in May— though it is hard to know how many of those are in the order books and how many have already been acquired by new holders but not withdrawn.

One potential reason for this decrease could be the launch of our $100,000 KRATOS Node Rewards Program whereby APEX Network will be rewarding all token holders commanding at least a Data Cloud Node (>20k CPX), permitted they store their tokens in personal wallets (non-exchange wallets).
