Continuing our series on token and node stats, our Tech Ambassador Aldo has once again ventured out to crawl the NEO blockchain for CPX holding wallets. Getting exact numbers for each wallet means that we are able to provide more comprehensive stats than through using a block explorer / richlist alone, and this allows us to see wider trends than simple “number of nodes in a tier”. All token and node numbers have been compared to the previous stats from March 4th and January 8th 2019.

Node distribution (excl. APEX wallet and exchanges)

Node qualifying amounts (excl. APEX wallet) — May 2019

Similar to our last issue, we can see an increase in the number of Supernode qualifying wallets (+6). The number of Tier Genesis (-2), Tier 2 (-15) and Data Cloud Node (-8) qualifying wallets have dropped while Tier 1 wallet numbers grew by one.

Token Distribution

Token distribution in % of total supply — May 2019
Token Distribution — Total tokens and % vs total supply for May, March and January 2019

The numbers show that our Supernode candidates have increased their CPX holdings by 20,9M over the past two months while other tiers have slightly dropped.

We can also note that 4,3M less CPX are currently stored in exchanges than in March— though it is hard to know how many of those are in the order books and how many have already been acquired by new holders but not withdrawn. One potential reason for this decrease could be the launch of our $100,000 KRATOS Node Rewards Program whereby APEX Network will be rewarding all token holders commanding at least a Data Cloud Node (>20k CPX), permitted they store their tokens in personal wallets (non-exchange wallets).

Stay tuned for an additional tech announcement shortly.

Kind regards,
APEX Team
