2017 has been a solid year for the AI industry — clear advancements and increased enterprise adoption in artificial intelligence applications across predictive analytics, healthcare, network security, autonomous driving and IoT have been realized. China Internet Weekly, the analytical editorial arm of China Academy of Sciences (national scientific think tank and academic governing body), decided to rank those individuals and enterprises that have made an outstanding difference in the industry.

On March 9, 2018, After several rounds of rating via the judge panel (composed of prominent VC’s, entrepreneurs, and researchers), Chinapex CEO Jimmy Hu has been selected as the ultimate winner of the “Artificial Intelligence Person of the Year” award. Other nominee candidates have included iCarbonX (prominent genetic artificial intelligence company) CEO Jun Wang, Sensetime (Prominent machine vision AI company) CEO Xu Li, and Huawei CEO Ren Zhengfei.

Chinapex is a leading Shanghai-based technology company advancing marketing, personalization, and CRM via emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and blockchain.
