APIIT Lends a Helping Hand to Fund Higher Studies
At APIIT we’ve been lucky and grateful to watch over 2300 students pass through our classes and into a world of success. We don’t see these young professionals as just our success. They are a strength that we hope will be a powerful force for development and innovation for our country in the years to come.
While maintaining quality and standards of education has been second nature for us, providing access to our education services to a wider student population and supporting research and innovation to accelerate the development of our country is something we have been continuously working towards for over 17 years; indeed we believe it is our social responsibility to do so. Today marks a new step in that direction.

We are excited to announce the setting up of the APIIT Lanka Foundation for Academic Advancement (ALFAA) with the twin objectives of increasing access to higher education, and fostering research & innovation.
To increase access to higher education, we will award ALFAA Bursaries to deserving students commencing this year and launch ALFAA Grants to foster research and innovation in early 2018.
We have earmarked a sum of Rs.12.5 million for the award of ALFAA Bursaries for 2017. This means that 100 students signing up for business, computing and law degrees in September/October, 2017 will receive a bursary of up to Rs.250, 000 rupees each.
We see this as the start of an evolving process which will eventually enable us to give access to high quality education to many young people. More details about the bursary scheme and the selection criteria can be found here.
We are excited to get started in investing in deserving students. If this opportunity excites you, we have an easy to access application open till the 15th of September 2017.
If you have any inquiries about the ALFAA Bursary scheme, please do reach out to us, even on Facebook messenger. We’ll be happy to assist you.
