One Day
I saw mountains,
Sessile, cladded in shining snow
And a rigorously enthusiastic river
Flowing in power and pride
The snow seemed calm
In the lap of the peak, patient
For its turn to return to the ocean
While the dynamic river rallied
To embrace the ocean in hurry
A little envy is the snow,
I heard the pines whisper
And the wind whooshed in agreement,
Spreading his golden warm rays
Sun said, "better late than never".
