Although there are plenty of document generation solutions out there in the Salesforce ecosystem, most of them rely on having to create your document with third-party software then load it into Salesforce. We wanted to completely revolutionise this process and fully utilise the power of the Salesforce platform, which led us to creating Weaver.

Weaver is a new template designer and document generation tool aimed at helping make it easier for your company to design and manage your documents in one place, as well as help you generate and automate the creation of documents and emails based on your template designs.

Designing On-Platform

Weaver’s main feature, the Weaver Designer, is a complete document design tool built right on top of Salesforce, meaning you don’t need to rely on third party software to create any of your documents.

Our customers have designed invoices, contracts, brochures, emails, business cards, magazines, and more!

Having everything native means you also have all your templates and version control on Salesforce, so you don’t have to search through all your company templates to find that latest version, or worry about having a different version of a document than someone else! Plus you can save on the cost of any third-party software like MS Word.

Dynamic Templates

Being built on the platform, it’s easy for Weaver to access your Salesforce data when it generates your documents, meaning you can do all sorts of dynamic rendering with your templates, allowing you to give your customers and clients a tailored experience based on live data.

Being fully native also means that your Salesforce data is completely secure — it never leaves the platform!

Reusable Components

Apart from designing templates, Weaver also allows you to make components — reusable sections of a document that can be put into any of your templates.

This makes maintaining and keeping all of your documents in sync a breeze! For example you could have your Terms & Conditions in a component, add it to all of your legal templates, and then if you need to change your T&Cs you just edit the component. All your templates will use the latest version of the T&Cs without needing to be updated manually.

Once you’ve designed your templates, you can generate them in the click of a button, literally. With Salesforce Buttons, or our Weaver Helper component, you can create PDF, Word, Excel, or HTML documents from your templates without any extra work required.

You can take it a step further and automate your entire document process using all the standard Salesforce automation features you’d expect, like Flows, Process Builder, and even Custom Apex!
