FROM MY CLOSET Day 17 — Gaston

“Lefou, I’m afraid I’ve been “thinking”…”

Gaston, or the evil chest-haired airhead no one likes in Beauty and The Beast, was the character of choice for today.

Today was extremely eventful! The highlight of it all was the eyebrows, of course!

Eyebrows a la Gaston

So anyway skipping the eyebrows part to go a bit higher and farther in the head; to the BRAIN, the thinking machine that never rests. Gaston always hated thinking and especially if women wanted to do it. Someone like Gaston would make us love what he hates because we don’t like him. He is actually encouraging you to think.

Opinions and thoughts are what shapes the personality and identity of each one of us. They should be our own and even if we want to adopt someone else’s opinions we really need to do it after understanding why and what that opinion is.

Political leaders who drive masses behind them do it because they appeal to the Gastons of those masses. The big, hunky, unthinking, powerful people who just adopt an opinion without thinking as they have someone to do it for them.

Today, I ask you to think! Train your brain like you would your body.

Muscle and no brain will get you the No Belle prize (Sorry not sorry). While a well trained brain might actually get you a really belle Nobel prize (if you’re dedicated enough).

P.S. Yes those are dishwashing latex gloves. And yes I went out wearing them.
