Getting into character mode prior filming

Getting into character prior filming is very important. The audience will be to able to see your mental state and your sub text. Even if you get your lines wrong but your body language makes sense on the story and you are committed then the audience will enjoy it. There is a good chance that the cameraman and director will keep the camera rolling even if you had your lines little bit wrong. Getting into character mode prior filming takes practice and patience. For some folks it is easy and for some folks it is not easy. Which ever is the case for you, practice it. Specially in students films is a great place to practice it. Practice it every where that is your acting class, with your own camera, student films, etc.

The audience wants to see the internal struggle that your having inside your brain/body not just the lines. Remember lines are important only secondary …. it is the not the lines … again it is the internal struggle you are having … which the audience is most interested to see.
