What I Love About Filmmaking

I remember when I first started making films, it started with me being inspired by the Youtube channel EvilIguanaProductions. Also zombies. For some reason I was very much into them back in 2008–2010. Me, my brother and two of my cousins shot these zombie videos, they were fun but the magic really happened when I discovered editing. I came from being a magician and editing is in that same vein, the possibilities I got just flooded in, I learned how to add a muzzle flash and I think that was the moment for me that it all changed, that’s when it hit me, but not consciously, it’s when the fire exploded, when the dam fucking broke. Now, fast forward, I’ve made more than few films and there are many aspects of filmmaking that I love, one being the energy of it and the pure creation but what my core love of it is, I think, is that moment, when I create something that could only be in this medium, which usually involves nailing a music, picture, emotion moment. These things coalescing is what I love making.
