New HBO big tv show is airing and in 4 episodes everyone know this is the new Game of Thrones. Amazing actors, fantastic creators team and unforgettable opening make that series unique. It’s a remake but trust me, if you’re a fan o “singularity” theories and Ex Machina kind of stories you will love this one.
Jonathan Nolan and his wife made creepy, interesting, scary, brutal and for sure R-rated series that is one of a kind. When you also know that J.J. Abrams is producing whole thing you know what to expect. Westworld in short amount of time became the biggest HBO production after Game of Thrones. Story is based on Michael Crichton’s 70s movie which was about special amusement park. Guests were paying millions of dollars for being in ancient Rome, medieval times or wild west and to do everything they want there. Three little sectors were filled with androids which were there only to fullfill cravings of all guests. Rape, murder, group sex, drugs everything you can imagine. But one time something bad happen…One of the cyborgs found out who he isand initiated new mission — to meet and kill his maker.
James Cameron based Terminator’s story on Michael Crichton’s Westworld. In new version made by Nolans you will find some similarities to every cyborg movie in whole cinema industry. What’s making new tv series unique? It’s story! First of all action is put only in wild west sector which is way more complicated and bigger than the one in original production. We can see there a lot of characters who have different story lines. Some of them are “hosts” (androids) who are experiencing weird thoughts and memories. Some of them are guests that are abusing hosts and are getting into some crazy whirl of brutal events. Something will be going on creator’s side too and last but not least: Ed Harris (wearing black — it’s important) who is looking for some maze in the Westworld and as he likes to call it: the game in the game.
Westworld is something different and it’s for sure one of the best HBO’s production. Someone said that rise of the machines will start when coffee machine will pour hot water on your hand instead of your favorite latte. When it will happen we’re screwed — or maybe guys from Westworld will find a solution to that.
