THE OSHENWATCH
The smartwatch space has grown over the years, with almost every tech company having a smartwatch of theirs. Keeping fit and staying healthy is now a thing of great importance in, in addition to other great features that are in some of the top smartwatches, most companies are now incorporating the health monitor feature on their smartwatches.
The question has been whether these watches are worth the amount they are sold, but I guess that is a million-dollar question that requires a million-dollar answer. In the bid to answer the above questions, some have also speculated that having a cheap smartwatch would mean lesser quality and average performance. Well, if this speculation was true, then why is the OshenWatch making a big wave in the market?
The Oshenwatch
The Oshenwatch was created by experts in health tech who got tired of the big companies who are continually ripping off their consumers with their overly priced smartwatches. The kind of technology on the OshenWatch is not predicted to hit the market until 2023. Taking a cue fro the review done by Pam Thompson, the OshenWatch is very comfortable, lightweight, and has a great feel to it. It comes with a great user interface, and it is designed to keep health records, take blood pressure readings, monitor heart rates, and also record the number of steps taken in a day, I mean, what more can we ask for.
“The tech on OshenWatch is absolutely mind-blowing. I wanted to call my son, so I pressed a button and my watch started ringing. We talked through my watch! I wore it to bed that night so it could monitor my sleep, and in the morning I had a full report on how deep my REM actually was. It also recommended tips on how to improve my sleep” said Pam Thompson in her review.
Why is the OshenWatch receiving so much popularity?
The OshenWatch has gained a lot of popularity because of its ability to monitor your health and recommend ways to improve it. It can monitor your heart rate, blood oxygen level (SpO2), blood pressure, beats per minute, and do a lot more. There is a report by the World Health Organization that the number 1 cause of death all over the world are the CVDs, that is the cardiovascular diseases, where 4 out of 5 death cases are as a result of heart attack and strokes.
“Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are the number 1 cause of death globally. 4 out of 5 CVD deaths are due to heart attacks and strokes, and one-third of these deaths occur prematurely in people under 70 years of age.” — World Health Organisation
Having a smartwatch that alerts you when there are some irregularities in your heart readings is mind-blowing, and this is what the OshenWatch does. Some of the deaths that are caused by CVDs can be prevented if caught on time.
“Identifying those at highest risk of CVDs and ensuring they receive appropriate treatment can prevent premature death.” — World Health Organisation
In addition to the already mentioned benefits, the OshenWatch also performs functions like; monitor your health, assist you in reaching your fitness goals, and helps you stay in touch with your phone. The watch supports Android and iOS devices, with 4.0 Bluetooth connectivity and a long-lasting battery that provides 96 hours of normal use. Some of the other features of the OshenWatch include:
Price and where to buy the OshenWatch
The original price for the OshenWatch is $98, but the company is currently running a promotion of a 50% discount. When asked why the watch is so affordable, the founders explained that they have been able to cut out middle-men charges that usually hikes the prices of products by selling directly to the customers through their website. We do not know how long this 50% promotion would be on for, so this might be a perfect time to get one if you are thinking of getting one.
The OshenWatch is packed with a lot of great features with plenty of good reviews. However, some concerns have been shown regarding the limited stock and delay in delivery time.
We hope that all of these complaints are taken into advisement by the founders and improved on.
