Pancreatic Tumor Shrinks With No Chemo
This is how we did it…
I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw the results of the most recent MRCP…
My boyfriend's pancreatic tumor shrunk… by a lot…
We had not started chemo yet. In fact, we were in the hospital to expedite chemo because Hans’ cancer had gotten to a life-threatening level where he couldn’t eat anymore and was quickly losing more weight… weight he didn’t have to lose. At 6'1" he was down to 117 pounds. A weight that made him look like a holocaust victim.
The MRCP was done to see if he needed a stint placed in the bile duct since his bilirubin numbers were high. Luckily, the imaging showed no blockages and the stint was not necessary. However, the imaging once again measured the tumor, and when I saw the number, I knew it looked different.
Sometimes my memory is awful, but for some reason, I have a great memory when it comes to numbers. My brain seems to like memorizing and holding onto them, so I often notice discrepancies. (Someone tell me what profession I should go into, it's gotta be good for something…)
After seeing the new number, I took a look at the MRCP from 3 weeks ago done at the same hospital. The number back then was much bigger… 1.2 x 1.3 cm bigger to be exact. My mouth dropped. “It’s working… the RSO is…
