Digital media can supplement and enhance your eLearning courses. A variety of media types keeps learners interested and engaged, and can help reach more students since everyone has different learning styles and preferences.

Not all digital media resources are created equal, so it is a good idea to evaluate resources before including them in your course. Use this short evaluation checklist to determine if the digital media resource meets the needs of your course.

I used my checklist to evaluate a PDF of mindful breathing exercises that I found on OER Commons.

While not the most engaging or interactive resource, it is a clear and helpful guide that does directly align with the objectives of the Mindfulness and Meditation curriculum I am creating. Importantly, it is licensed under Creative Commons (CC-BY-SA) and so can be freely used and modified as needed.
