Intro to Alyssa Gamboa’s Instructional Design Portfolio

Alyssa (she/they) studied Sociology at the University of California, Santa Cruz with the plan of becoming a high school guidance counselor. Deciding that some work and life experience of their own would be highly beneficial in guiding and supporting young adults, Alyssa began working in Human Resources at a San Francisco-based tech startup. Through their work in HR, Alyssa discovered a passion for Employee Learning & Development and has since decided to continue their career in Learning Experience / Instructional Design. They have 6+ years of professional experience in fields including tech and healthcare, and most enjoy designing and facilitating workshops on mindfulness, wellness, self care, and plant care.

This portfolio was originally created to showcase Alyssa’s work for the edX MicroMasters program in Instructional Design and Technology, and will continue to showcase current and future work in their life and career.
