The F1 season has just kicked off in Australia, and if you’ve got a drive to change the world following that passion of yours, here are a few motorsport non-profits you may want to connect with today!

Agouti Motorsport

Agouti Motorsport is the brainchild of Connor O’Brien and Josh Young, two young racing drivers with a passion for motorsport and a desire to make a mark. Over the past few months, Connor and Josh have poured every ounce of effort into making the Agouti dream a reality. Their goal? To establish Agouti as a motorsport brand to rival the very best. Not only that: they want their racing to have an impact beyond the track.

A chance meeting at the Silverstone Truck Festival led to the founding of this unique project. Connor took an interest in Josh’s #MightySafeDriving initiative and the profile it had created for the charities he supported. Josh was achieving this after just one year in the sport. Could more be achieved? With this in mind they discussed promoting other charities through the media-friendly platform that is motorsport.

The pair were originally introduced by Alan Ball, CEO at Ball Trucking, where Connor works. Alan is heavily involved in the transport industry and through this created a close link with the Children’s Air Ambulance. It was here that the idea of supporting Children’s Air Ambulance was conceived. Since then, Agouti Motorsport’s primary objective has been to promote the charity. Together, the two brands look to build great things.

Mission Motorsport

The Forces’ Motorsport Charity was launched at Thruxton Motor Circuit on the 1st March 2012 in order to help those affected by military operations by engagement through sport. Recognising from the outset the astonishing inspirational and healing potential of motor sport, and from the outset linking to a buoyant and vibrant part of British industry has resulted in a fast growth from a voluntary, collaborative effort run by servicemen to today’s professional organisation. We’ve come a long way. — James Cameron, CEO

“The Aim of Mission Motorsport is to aid in the recovery and rehabilitation of those affected by military operations, by providing opportunities through Motorsport. Through participation in competition, our strong team ethos helps to inspire and rebuild confidence; while the development of skills including mechanical competencies, logistics, and management all build capacity for a brighter future.”

Mission Motorsport’s 6th Anniversary

In 2018, Mission Motorsport is celebrating its 6th Anniversary. Since inception, we have seen impressive growth and delivered more than 4000 training days of sport for almost 1,300 beneficiaries, leading to over 200 placements, and more than 100 jobs.
