In this post, we have collected eight excellent examples of Progressive Web App games. The list contains games of all genres (although most of them are puzzle games) that have great Lighthouse scores, work offline, and are installable on both Android and iOS. Hextris

Hextris is a new take on the classic Tetris game in which you are supposed to stack the incoming blocks along the edges of a hexagonal shape. To score and clear space, connect three or more blocks of the same color. The game continues as long as all blocks stay within the gray hexagon.

Hextris has a Lighthouse score of 96, works offline, and is installable on both Android and iOS.

BreakLock

A hybrid of the game Mastermind and the Android pattern lock, BreakLock is a puzzle game in which you are supposed to figure out the secret pattern lock combination. After each attempted combination, the game will tell you how many dots in your pattern were correct, and you should use that information to try to crack the lock in as few attempts as possible.

BreakLock has a Lighthouse score of 96, works offline, and is installable on both Android and iOS.

Tower Game

Tower Game is a part strategy, part puzzle game in which you are supposed to stack blocks and build the tallest tower. As new building blocks are hanging from the crane, tap on the screen to release the them onto the tower. If the blocks are poorly aligned, the tower will start swinging. The game ends after three failed attempt to place a block on top of the tower.

Tower Game has a Lighthouse score of 100, works offline, and is installable on both Android and iOS.

Monopong

Monopong is a variant of the classic Pong game in which there is only one player. Instead of a rectangular board, this game is played on a circle. By moving the curved paddle along the edge of the board, your goal is to prevent the ball from exiting the circle. Your success is measured in the number of times you manage to bounce the ball.

Monopong has a Lighthouse score of 96, works offline, and is installable on Android. Unfortunately it lacks an icon for iOS.

The Cube

The Cube is an excellent PWA version of the classic Rubik’s Cube game. Try to solve this three-by-three-by-three puzzle in as little time as possible. If you manage to solve it multiple times, the app offers statistics about your best runs.

Sudoku

Sudoku is a minimal PWA puzzle game. With an unlimited number of puzzles and three levels of difficulty, the app offers endless entertainment and brain training. It includes features such as note-taking and suggestions, and it also comes with a dark mode.

Little Alchemy 2

Little Alchemy 2 is a game about mixing elements. Starting with air, earth, fire, and water, you are supposed to combine these elements to discover new items. There are over 600 different objects, materials, and natural substances to explore, so the game offers an entertaining way to learn about the natural world.

Dominoes

Play some bones with Dominoes. This PWA version of the classic game offers both single- and multiplayer game modes. Create an account (or sign in as a guest) and play against people from all around the world. In addition to a large number of game settings, Dominoes comes with an online leaderboard and a chat room.
