What is Akamai Property Manager?
Akamai Property Manager is used to manage and optimize traffic effectively. It offers load balancing, global traffic management (GTM), failover and disaster recovery strategies, traffic steering, real-time analytics and monitoring and intelligent caching. Load balancing distributes incoming traffic evenly across multiple servers or data centers, ensuring high availability and reliability. GTM intelligently routes traffic based on factors like user location, network conditions, and server availability. In the event of a server or data center failure, traffic can be automatically redirected to alternate servers or locations. Traffic steering allows businesses to prioritize specific traffic types or direct traffic to specific servers based on business rules or performance metrics. In the control center of Akamai Property Manager, the property manager section is available where the list of properties are configured with its hostname(domain) and behavior. - Obtaining a renewed certificate from your certificate authority or provider
- Uploading the renewed certificate, and updating the pinning configuration to include the new certificate. This ensures the renewed certificate is recognized and accepted for secure communication.

Once the Akamai account is added into the AppViewX CERT+ Inventory, AppViewX CERT+ can start scanning it. From the Akamai environment, you can retrieve a list of certificates with their fingerprint and other information. The Fetched certificates will be included in the AppViewX CERT+ certificate inventory that displays a holistic view of a certificate with its chain and other important metadata. After the scan and inventory steps are complete, AppViewX CERT+ will show certificate expiry dates of certificates which can then be renewed with the same CSR details and Certificate Authority (CA).
