Podcasting Shenanigans

At last months RookieOven Meetup I made some inquiries asking if anyone was planning on doing a Technology podcast. I was genuinely interesting in hearing what these brilliant people had to say. Everyone I spoke to appeared to find the idea quite exciting but didn’t have the time to create one.

Busy

I have been really busy with my day job, working on BoostMyFund in the evenings and squeezing in 10+ hours of Ironman Training per week. It is now all most a month later, BoostMyFund is now released and time has freed up a little.

Not busy

Having some down time in the evening I have now layed the foundation for producing a Scottish Technology Podcast.

I had some help and encouragement from DigitalArtisans on Slack, so now at Tartan Tech FM you can see the fruits of my labour over the past few nights.

It is a start

There is still a long way to go, I need to learn how to Interview(make content) and Produce a podcast and much more.

Apprehensive

I know this is probably the case with most people who start podcasting, I am apprehensive, even embarrassed about my voice and pronunciation. This is something I will need to get over, however I am confident through practise it will get better. It has never stopped me at karaoke.

Next Steps

I did plan to take my time and perhaps get something running by July. It has all went much quicker than I expected, so watch this space, there might be some content soon.

We are an independent app development company(two people), we have no external investors and all expenses are covered out of our own pockets. We have had lots of input from friends in the independent startup community who without their guidance we could not have got this far.
