“The innovative platform for developing mobile applications Appzio was awarded at the seventh annual ceremony of the Bulgarian Association of Information Technologies (BAIT) as a startup of 2017.

Appzio is a Bulgarian-Finnish project, which is on the way to create a new standard in developing of mobile applications. The company is part of Eleven’s venture capital fund portfolio and has recently received second funding from one of the region’s largest banks to actively develop its international business.

‘Appzio has been around since 2015 and has been developing successfully in a very competitive niche. Since the beginning we’ve been working hard on perfecting our technology. Last year alone we attracted dozens of customers which proved the quality of the platform. By far we kept a low media profile, but as of this year we are determined to make some noise and make more companies hear about us’.- shared Branimir.

Appzio aims to continue to develop its innovative technology and to make it accessible to an ever-growing audience. The mission of the three founders is to help people with good ideas to realize them in an easier and more affordable way.

Appzio has been in existence since 2015 and competes with large companies worldwide

‘There are mobile apps which are not only useful to the users but they also drastically improve whole aspects of their lives. We aim to help more such projects in order to give our share for an overall positive change.’- said Simeon Mitev, the other Bulgarian co-founder.

Timo Railo, our Finnish CTO and co-founder, also shared his excitement after receiving the award. “I am very impressed with Bulgaria and the business environment here. I think it is a very favorable place for setting up an IT company due to the plenty of talent and all the opportunities for financing great ideas. I am thankful that Appzio received such recognition and that our work is being appreciated. I definitely don’t regret my choice to start a company in Bulgaria.”- explained Timo after the ceremony.

BAIT also awarded IT projects of high-school and university students, municipalities that implemented innovative IT solutions in different areas and also other successful companies for their overall contribution to the industry.”
