Why are some people more productive than others?

To find out, I asked two stellar and productive past Big Thinkers to “Describe the circumstances under which you are most productive.”

Charles Duhigg is a husband, father of two young children, Pulitzer prize winning NY Times reporter and author of two best sellers, The Power of Habit, and most recently Smarter, Better, Faster: The Secrets of Being Productive in Life and Business. I waylaid him at the Aspen Airport for his answer. (1:22 minutes)

Shirley Turkle, MIT, has written tons about how technology keeps us from being productive (and intimate with others) so I asked her, too. (2:43 minutes)

Notice what they have in common?
