What Makes Learning Personalized?

“Can a student be empowered without personalized learning?”

This presents a clear challenge for us in our work and it is well worth thinking through.

“To be successful in the 2028 workplace, our students need to solve complex problems.”

This stands out. How are we supporting kids in doing this?

“Do students come to us with some of these traits (curious, creative, risk-takers) and leave us 12 years later without them?”

This question jumped off the page. ​It reminds me of the article, A Riot of Divergent Thinking. You only need to read the first 2 paragraphs to see that our kids’ ability to think differently can be squashed in schools. How can we curb this trend?
