We launched our newsletter series last week.
TL, DR; things to note:
- AMA with Blockto App and Anti-social Club.
- We started hosting events on our discord server.
- Occasionally, AptosLabs will be streaming live from Twitch.
- We had about 15 DAO collaborations.

Aptos Monkeys Testnet Mint
200 Aptos Monkeys testnet NFTs given to community members to mint, which required 10,000 APT. The mint was successful and all participants’ wallets were snapshotted and will be rewarded whitelists when mainnet launches.
Emoji contest
The Emoji contest had a ton of impressive submissions by the community members. We love to see such kind of creative vibe in our community.
Smash Karts event
Smash Karts is a free Multiplayer Kart Battle Arena game. Drive fast, fire rockets, and make big explosions. It was very competitive and winners got rewarded with the MonkeGamer role.
Fan Art contest
The Fan Art contest is still ongoing. The fan art contest will end on Wednesday, September 14, 2022. The team will choose the 10 best fan arts and award:
1st place: Guardian Role
2nd — 10th place: Early monkey role

Twitter Raids
“We grow together if we work together”.
We love how enthusiastic our fellow monkeys are towards our growth and we still continue to share tweets for raids to occur. We don’t plan to stop there. The team has considered making a ‘Twitter Raid’ role available to active raiders. And for sure, there are perks attached to the role 👀. Are you ready? 🔥

Our Lore
This is where things get interesting. Aptos Monkeys is a jungle of monkeys that are civilized and because of this, we believe we should put up a storyline of how it all began. We’re coordinating an illustration to portray this. However, can you peep the quote retweet attached beneath this?
More Events
We are building a community with numerous ventures to fit every single community member. This is why we will be introducing as many community events as we can. To enhance the Aptos Monkeys movement, our profile picture-changing event on Twitter will be announced soon.
We have also considered hosting a DJ event for those who are skilled at making beats. Do well to suggest any events in our discord server and we will definitely put them into consideration.

RECENTLY ON APTOS
Aptos Labs released an Aptos:Zero testnet collection for claiming and network testing. It was reported that the Aptos community minted over 55,000 Aptos:Zero testnet NFTs in 24 hours post-launch.
SPOTLIGHT: DIALECT
Project description:
Dialect is a web3 messaging protocol for wallet-to-wallet chat, dApp-to-user notifications, and project-to-community announcements.
Motivation:
Communication is essential to thriving communities and successful economies. We’re building a messaging protocol to ensure that the fullest possibilities of web3 come to fruition, both in terms of helping connect dApps to users and users to each other, but also in exploring the immense design space that wallet authentication allows for in creating delightful user experiences.
Value proposition:
Our project will unlock a whole new way for dApps to interact with their users and improve their user experience. It also will help create new, multi-chain social experiences that are fully web3-native.
