Dog Training App grew by 823 % in 24 hours from being ‘App of the Day’
Being featured as Apple’s ‘App of the Day’ in 149 countries gave dog training app Dogo a massive user boost.
Dogs across the world can thank dog training app Dogo for the extra treats they’ve been getting recently.
Wednesday, May 13th, Dogo was featured as App of the Day in the Apple App Store in 149 countries and as a result, it’s userbase and in-app purchases went through the roof.
From one day to the next, the feature helped Dogo grow its userbase with 823 % and its in-app purchases to go up by 251 %.
“We are super happy and honored to be featured by Apple as this means many new dog-loving families around the world will be using Dogo to teach their dog new skills and strengthen their bond, said Dogo Co-Founder Eliza Hirvensalo.
“Founded by Lithuanian married couple Tadas Ziemys and Rasa Gentvilaitė-Žiemienė, respectively an iOS developer and a veterinarian, plus Eliza Hirvensalo who’s from Estonia and responsible for business development and sales, the app is now used by more than 2 million dog parents around the globe.”
The app is available in 10 languages, and this is something the Berlin-based team behind Dogo prioritized. The app was translated by Gentvilaitė-Žiemienė, who is fluent in four languages, by translators outsourced via language platform Lokalise, and, in part, by Dogo’s users — or ‘’superfans,” as Ziemys calls the people who are so happy with Dogo that they’re willing to contribute.
“To have that sort of dedication and determination from our Dogo users is the highest praise,” said Ziemys. “The community of dog owners and trainers on the app is outstanding.”
In addition to being featured as App of the Day for its active community, ease of use, and comprehensive dog training approaches, Dogo is also revered for its design. It is featured on the official App Store’s Today Tab Artwork help page as a prime example for other developers to follow as they submit their own apps for App of the Day consideration.
