Dogo — the app of the year 2018
Dogo team was pleasantly surprised to be named as App of the year in Lithuania. The public and the jury gave most of their votes for our startup and we received a pleasant “good morning” call from BZNStart team. Because of the time difference, our alarm clock was still silent and when the journalist asked us, what does it mean for us, we answered: “it is like waking up to a beautiful sunny day”. They did not quote that. 😃
Dogo has been bootstrapping for two years and these little successes or external recognition have lifted us up many times and gave us the energy to keep going. A year ago, we had a few hundred users, we were super proud of them and no one has thought that by 2018 we will be counting almost one million downloads. In the entire 2017 our revenue was $389 and now we are able to sustain a team of five.
Dogo helps dog parents to train their dogs at home and build a stronger relationship. We are most thankful to all our users for their engagement, positive messages and super cute videos that they send to us. There is probably nothing more positive and genuine than dogs. Without them, we would have not become the app of the year.
