Growing up between two cultures, her frequent travels to Africa made Lorraine appreciate the original beauty routines of women with melanin-rich skin. The use of powerful and traditional ingredients for their skincare practices opened her eyes to the special needs of darker skin tones.
As she began to successfully incorporate these remedies into her own routine, it sparked the idea to create a skincare line that doesn’t only celebrate and support her own diversity but provides people that share the same needs with these powerful tools to feel as beautiful and confident as she did when applying them.
Today her brand GlowRx offers a natural multitasking solution to common skin concerns and can be found at several retailers across the United States. Amidst the successful launch of her independent brand, she is looking forward to create a wider range and a bigger impact on the cosmetic industry, to which natural black skin remains little more than an afterthought.
