“We’re not just a fashion label — there is a true feeling of community and that’s beautiful.”

From an early age, Sema saw a lack of accessible designs and products for people who divert from the industry norm. Inspired by the life of her cousin Funda, a person of short stature, she was driven to change that in her very own way. Her goal was to create products that would value the personal experience of her customers and provide a sense of belonging within their communities.

Sema’s vision first started coming to life during her studies at fashion school. That’s when her label “Auf Augenhöhe” was created. The Berlin-based fashion brand started with a strong focus on clothing for people of short stature, creating products that fit the individual without modification, but has expanded ever since. The brand’s name, which translates to “at eye level,” reflects her ambition to make the fashion industry a more inclusive place for all.
