Camtasia is the usual software educators use to do screen casting, but it is expensive. Nimbus is a free alternative. It is an extension that can be used on google chrome, Firefox, Opera just to name a few browsers. It is very easy to use — just follow this link to download Nimbus. Remember you can only use Nimbus if you already have one of those browsers. Eknarin just installed Nimbus. But this was after a long wait to instal chrome on his new MacBook Pro. This is our first Nimbus screencast — it clearly shows how we work — by trying and doing!

This video has not been edited. We didn’t add a title, or a soundtrack, or any fancy special effects. To do this you need a video editor. I actually use Camtasia; Eknarin is using iMovie, but these softwares are expensive. In case you are looking for a free alternative you can use OpenShot video editor. The video below is also the first video that Eknarin uploaded to his brand new Youtube channel. We accomplished a lot of tasks today!
