Aquinian ranks 10th in nat’l Archi boards

Meanwhile, the school’s overall performance slipped.

Aquinas University Architecture graduate, Crispin Bobier Cruza, secured a spot in the roster of topnotchers in the January 2017 Architect Licensure Examination (ALE).

Cruza finished with a rating of 80.70% and garnered the tenth place out of the 919 successful examinees, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on February 3, 2017. He tied with Technological University of the Philippines’ Carlo Nowell C. Garcia.

The Architect board exam was held on January 27 and 29 in Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao and Legazpi. The exam had a total of 1,595 examinees.

UP Diliman’s Luiz Marko P. Silang earned the top spot with an 83.70% rating. Other schools in the top ten include University of San Carlos, Adamson University, UST, BSCAST, TIP-Quezon City, and PUP-Sta. Mesa.

Meanwhile, the University of Santo Tomas (UST) maintains its place as the number one top performing school in the Archi boards for posting an 81.75% passing rate, with a total of 112 passers out of 137 examinees.

Aquinas’ overall performance in the latest ALEs averaged 26.32% which is equivalent to a total of five passers of the 19 examinees from the University. This is a marked slip from January 2016’s 50% finish.

The first time takers posted a 50% passing rate with four passers out of eight examinees, while the repeaters recorded a 9.09% rating (1 passer out of 11 takers).

The official roll call of the names of Aquinians who passed have yet to be released by the Office of Alumni and Public Affairs (OAPA).
