Corten steel, natural cedar, concrete composites — all make for compelling materials to clad your structures. This week, I’ve selected a bunch of exterior cladding / siding products from our Global Library from manufacturers you may not be as familiar with. One thing’s for sure, discovering and then researching building envelope products — whether cladding, roofing, curtain wall and fenestration — is incredibly time-consuming and potentially fraught with risk. The last thing you want to deal with is the fall-out from product performance failure.
Use Arazoo to save products like these to your Firm Library. Then, you have an easy way to find it again and peruse the “quick view” information saved to the product’s card. Jump back out to the manufacturer’s web page from the link on the product card in order to conduct and save more research to the product card. If you’ve determined it’s a solid product by that point, you could copy it into a “Firm Standards” project, so everyone else in your firm knows it’s been properly vetted.
