Arazoo Featured Products #82: NYC x DESIGN
From the center of design talent!
May 3–24 is NYCxDESIGN, and we’re excited to celebrate it in this week’s Featured Products. If you work in the building design industry here in NYC, you know there’s not just one design district, like other big cities. No, there are several — Flatiron, Tribeca, Midtown East, and parts of Brooklyn all have no shortage of design showrooms featuring cool independent fabricators and national brand names alike. We love that NYC dedicates a month to showcase our city as the center of design talent. This week, we’ve pulled a few products from manufacturers with showrooms from all over the five boroughs, with names including 3Form, Wolf Gordon, Dornbracht, West Elm, Marset, DDC, and Porcelanosa.
Based in NYC and want to access to a showroom and local product rep? Not in NYC, but see something you like? Simply save these products to your firm library so you have them to use when you’re working on your next project.
Wolf-Gordon offers a wide array of wallcovering materials for specialized applications. They tend to be highly decorative, functional, or appropriate for use in commercial interiors where a dramatic look is desired.
Inspired by the ‘eclectic style’ interior design trend, the distinctive design of the new premium designer fitting is both elegant and progressive. Vaia is therefore equally at home in traditional and modern bathroom architectures — as well as those that combine the elements of different style worlds, in keeping with the eclectic style.
This retro-glam curved sectional is the focal point of any lounge area. Its individual pieces push together to form face-to-face sofas or curved sectionals.
Its detailed study of incident light and light that bounces off of both sides of the 35 disks provide the lamp with an appealing gradation of light nuances and depth. Further reflections dance off the chrome-covered sphere at the core, where the disks are anchored.
From a piece of seashell, which has been broken and smoothed by the waves, Patricia Urquiola has designed a collection of seats for both the home and public spaces. As the name suggests, there is a strong Scandinavian influence with references to Arne Jacobsen and the inlets of northern coastlines represented in the long cut-away.
