Arazoo Case Study: The Four Seasons Project Team

As a project becomes more complex and the number of participants and stakeholders grows, mistakes made in product and material selection becomes costlier and easier to make. When these kinds of mistakes or omissions slip through undetected, it’s often through gaps in the research process and team communication. When a firm loses track of valuable past research, doesn’t communicate clearly, or accidentally operates on outdated information, small mistakes can grow into serious cost increases and delays for the whole project.

If you follow us on Instagram, you’ve no doubt noticed a few images taken on the set of a video we’re making. The video is a behind-the-scenes talk with The Four Seasons restaurant design and construction team about how they use Arazoo to streamline the product research and selection process in order to avoid these kinds of problems.

In the video, we captured testimonials from several members of the team — including Pedro Ricciardi of design architect Isay Weinfeld, Steven Andersen from executive architect Montroy Andersen DeMarco, Ian Bromilow from acoustic consultant Cerami & Associates, Mouzayan Al-Khalil from landscape architect H.M. White Site Architecture, and Peter Hulbert from construction manager Plaza Construction — discussing how Arazoo has helped them be more organized on this project, enabling them to manage product information easily.

The Four Seasons project team uses Arazoo as a critical shared space to collect product research, keep track of the selection and approval process, and communicate as a diverse and geographically disparate team. They’re a prime example of how Arazoo enables firms working on complex projects to work more efficiently.

Using Arazoo ensures that everyone on their team is able to access the same research, see the same conversations, and know the latest product and material selections — all in one centralized location.

Arazoo’s cloud-based platform enhances team organization, eliminates repetitive research, and streamlines their product and material selection workflow.

Creating an entirely new Four Seasons restaurant in a new location is an intricately detailed and complex project requiring coordination from team members across many disciplines. Add a challenging job site to the mix, and all of that calls for creative problem solving of the highest caliber. Yet the project team is able to dedicate more time to developing smart design solutions, because the typically time-consuming process of collecting, finding, and communicating their product and material research has been made so much easier by using Arazoo.

I firmly believe that there are no “simple” projects — even projects with small, in-house teams and straightforward job sites face research and communications challenges that can eat up precious design time. Big or small, Arazoo is designed to help all of them work smarter.

We’re excited to share the final video with you — look for it in late February 2017!
